Welcome to our blog,
FROGS ARE GREEN!

For over 200 million years, ponds, marshes, grasslands, and rain forests have come alive with the calls of frogs. Yet these remarkable and colorful animals are declining at such a rapid rate that they are being called the Earth’s next dinosaurs. According to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, a third of the world’s amphibian species are threatened with extinction. To read more, click here!

Sting’s Message in a Bottle: SOS for the Rainforest

We received a new video from the Prince’s Rainforests Project of Sting singing “Message in a Bottle,” his own personal SOS to the world about the destruction of the rainforests. The Prince’s Rainforest SOS Campaign is their final push to ensure that the call for emergency action to protect rainforests is heard by those who have the power to make change happen. It is particularly directed toward world leaders before the forthcoming global climate change negotiations in Copenhagen in December.

While Sting and the frog are cute, his message is serious—and it is heartbreaking to see the trees cut down. Check out the Prince’s site to find out ways that you can become involved and spread the message!

My husband and I frequent the primary rainforests and work with the plants and people there. Our job is to accomplish three things: 1) To deliver healing benefits to the market, 2) To help preserve the natural environment, and, 3) To enhance living conditions for native people. This works brings us to remote, wild places such as the rainforests, seeking creative solutions for the native people to live in sync with the natural places, and thrive. Seeking ways to communicate to the media in what ways we can. Last year we lived in a devestated community of Shipibo natives

Thank you for what you are doing. We support your efforts! Hope to meet someday.
